Two years! It has been a full two years since the Cartridge reboot, and still going strong!

There's two things I want to point out right off the bat. First, I know a lot of you probably saw this coming. I'd hoped so. I wanted you to suspect this was what happened, without being too sure. You see, even though it has its serious moments, Cartridge is a comedy comic, first and foremost. I didn't want this moment to weigh the mood of the comic down too much, so letting everyone see this coming should soften the blow a bit.

Second, believe me when I say this was a tough comic to make. Dona was an extremely popular character among readers. Considering how hated my previous attempt at making a female character was, it made me incredibly reluctant to kill her off. However, I wrote this story over two years ago, and it has taken Jerry from "the drug guy" to a character with an actual personality. All this time, it's this history he's been hiding from us that has made him what he is, so I feel that if I were to change it I would be compromising Jerry as a character. I will do my best to apply the things I've learned while writing Dona and applying it to future female characters, and hopefully I'll eventually find one that works as well as Dona. Not that I plan on adding any "love interests" to the comic anytime soon. I have a couple of new female characters planned for the comic, but I currently have no plans to have any of them romantically involved with any of the guys.

Anyway, this is the darkest I expect Cartridge will ever get, so if these serious moments aren't your cup of tea, just hang on another 10 pages or so and we'll be at the end of this story, and I promise things will get a lot more lighthearted from there. Just remember that it took this story to bring these characters out of their one-dimensional roots and start giving them their own personalities.

Well, here's hoping the next two years hold even more learning and growing! Thanks to all of you who've supported me and the comic. You guys are the greatest and I am so incredibly thankful for every single one of you. Here's to another two years!
